Trust in a quality referral from BGN

You get what you pay for. It's a truism in business because it' true, as was testified at our mot recent BGN breakfast meeting.

BGN, East Hampshire’s most regular business networking group, meets every Wednesday at Langrish House and we all know each other pretty well. We trust each other to deliver a good quality service for a fair price so we can confidently refer each other to others, but unfortunately not every trader out there can live up to our ideals.

Photocopying guru John Raeyen battles daily against competitors who try to unercut  him with a cheaper contract that often hide unpleasant surprises. As john says, if a deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Flooring specialist Adam George also told a cautionary tale during his 60-second pitch of clients who get him out to measure up rooms for a quote, only togo for a cheaper deal. Adam, Like our resident builder Kevin Snuggs of Kingsbury Home Improvements, will often be asked back to sort out the mess left by the cheaper contractor with the "better deal”.

Well, that's off my chest, After all of those heartfelt stories, the venue itself, Langrish House won the prize for best pitch thanks to its Christmas decor.

It was a good meeting with 16 opportunities for business passed between members, which is the main reason the group is still growing.
