Visitors month at BGN business networking group

BGN, East Hants' choicest business networking group, is looking for anyone who earns a living in the following ways:

  • Couriers
  • Plumbers
  • Florists
  • Car sales
  • Car repair
  • Utilities
  • Telecoms
  • Landscape designers
  • Business coaches
  • Car valet
  • Window companies
  • Air conditioning
  • Locksmiths
  • Pest control
  • Care companies
  • Satellite/TV aerials
  • Taxi driver/chauffeur
  • Van/car hire
  • Wine shipper

No, I don’t need a whole pile of things doing to the house while I get driven around East Hants in a highly polished, ant-free cab, sipping a fine Malbec and making daisy chains.

We’re looking to fill the final few slots allowed by the constitution of one of the liveliest and effective business referral groups in the area. We’ve launched our May visitors’ month right on time and have already got two new members, but we still haven’t got representives of the services, above.

What do we get up to?

If you’re wondering, we’re all about looking out for business opportunities for other members, so the focus is on getting to know each other through 1-to-1 meetings and the occasional social event as well as our regular Wednesday breakfasts.

Meet beautiful businesspeople at BGN

We recently discovered that not only is our resident photographer, Michel Focard, a Frenchman but he likes Ti Chi and photocopier baron John Raeyen loves Canon multi-functional devices (he's also French, sort of).

We also practise our 60-second elevator pitches and take it in turns to deliver a presentation over breakfast to a fairly friendly audience and our resident business guru Giles Cleverley, founder of Syn-Star IT support hands out business advice gems.

This week we welcomed four guests, Kelly from Partnership HR, Quentin of Revive specialist cleaners, Paul the Drain Doctor and Janine (Ginine?) from Discover Wine who is hosting the annual Denmead Ginfest on 16 June.

Over a fine breakfast at Langrish House, we also swapped 22 good quality opportunities for business. The busy meeting was lively and as fun as ever, giving everyone an entrepreneurial buzz for the rest of the week.

BGN meets at Langrish House on any Wednesday morning of the week, at 6.45am for 7am, for networking and breakfasting, and has normally had enough by 8.30am.
